Hoses and Ducting

A hose, by definition, is a flexible pipe and is usually cylindrical in shape. The automotive industry uses a variety of rubber hoses, reinforced hoses and ducts in the cooling, lubrication, braking and hydraulic systems of assembled motor vehicles. Hoses are also used in sending vacuum or pressure signals to instruments, sensors, electronic management systems and actuators. Hoses are attached or secured by means of clamps, crimped fittings, vulcanized fittings, or integrated flanges.

Jefferson Rubber Works’ professional team can assist with design and manufacture a wide range of rubber hoses and ducting to client requirements that meet all original equipment manufacturers’ (OEM) standards. Hoses and ducts are made from advance materials and comprise numerous layers of varied materials to maintain the original shape and flexibility of the product, even under extreme conditions.

Rubber ducting has a general application in the construction and events industries where they provide temporary protection from vehicular and pedestrian traffic over wires, pipes, ropes, and gas lines. They can be manufactured in a number of high visibility colors and shapes for rapid onsite assembly.
